How It All Began
My love for small dogs was probably always a part of me — I just didn't know yet that it would blossom into a lifelong passion for Russian Toys. When I had a young family, small children, and all the everyday challenges that come with it, I couldn't allow myself a small dog. So I had large breeds by my side.
Everything changed when my children grew up and I met my first Russian Toy — Mickey. I knew instantly: I wasn't leaving without him. That little dog stayed with me, and with him began my love for this breed. I discovered his character — the devotion, the fearlessness, the tiny size with the heart of a Doberman.
With Mickey, I truly began to explore this breed. Today I know how diverse this world is: black and tan, brown and tan, lilac, blue, and other colors. Different sizes, different temperaments — every puppy is special in their own way, each one smart and full of life.
A Russian Toy is a true friend and companion for life. They look into your eyes, straight into your soul, and understand everything. They don't even need commands — they understand human speech. They are a full member of the family.
This breed combines everything I value: compact size, the ability to travel — Mickey traveled with me across all of Europe and then flew to America. Wonderful temperament, natural alertness, and virtually no shedding — they are smooth-coated and practically don't shed. They don't bark without reason — they bark with purpose, which speaks to their intelligence.
Gradually, the idea came not only to have these dogs, but to breed them — to bring wonderful puppies into the world, to find new friends, and to see grateful families who fell in love with the breed. Already here in America, many families across numerous states have welcomed our dogs and gained true family members.
The Russian Toy has only just arrived in America. Quality, genuine Russian Toys are still rare, and the breed is largely unknown — even veterinary clinics try to register them as Chihuahuas. But I'm certain: among small dogs, the future belongs to them. I've discovered the world of the Russian Toy and sincerely wish that everyone dreaming of a small companion dog would take a closer look at these amazing creatures. If their eyes and their soul find a way into your heart — give them your love, and they will return it a hundredfold.
The Russian Toy

The Russian Toy (Russkiy Toy) is one of the smallest breeds in the world, yet possesses an enormous personality. Originally bred as companions for Russian aristocracy, these elegant dogs nearly disappeared after the Russian Revolution.
Through the dedicated efforts of Soviet breeders in the 1950s-60s, the breed was revived and eventually gained international recognition. The AKC officially recognized the Russian Toy in 2022.
Russian Toys come in two coat varieties — smooth and long-haired — and a variety of colors. Despite their tiny size (typically 4-6 lbs), they are sturdy, active, and surprisingly athletic.
